Tamil Nadu Police

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) was Constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Board is manned by the Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police and a Team of Ministerial Staff.

The Board is Entrusted with the responsibility of Recruiting Personnel to the Police Department, Fire and Rescue Services Department and Prison Department for the Following Categories:

i. Police: Firemen
ii. Fire and Rescue Services Department (Men & Women)
iii. Prison Department: Grade II Jail Warden
iv. Sub Inspectors (Technical) (Men & Women)
v. Grade II Police Constables (Men & Women)

You will be undoubtedly aware that Police Exam involves Three levels of Strict Evaluation i.e based on Written, Physical Training, and Interviews.

Nationality

• The Candidate should be an Indian citizen.
• Candidate should be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu State.

Educational Qualification

• For Tamil Nadu Constable Posts – The candidates should have completed Intermediate/ 10+2 from a recognized board.
• Tamil Nadu Police Sub-inspector SI Jobs – The candidates have a Graduation degree in any stream from recognized Institute.
• For Tamil Nadu Police ASI Posts – the interested candidates should have completed Graduation in any stream from recognized University.

Age Limit

• Sub Inspector Posts – candidates age limit must be between 20 to 30 Years.
• Sub Inspector Post SI (Taluk,AR,TSP)– candidates age limit must be between 20 to 30 Years.
• Sub Inspector Posts SI (Finger Print) – candidates age limit must be between 20 to 30 Years.
• GR.II POLICE CONSTABLE, GR.II JAIL WARDER AND FIREMEN – candidates age limit must be between 18 to 26 Years.
• Station Fire Officer Posts – candidates age limit must be between 20 to 30 Years.
