Education Qualification

1) For Village Administration Officer, Junior Assistant (Non–Security and Security ), Bill Collector, Grade-I, Field Surveyor, Draftsman – SSLC / Matriculation.

2) For Field Surveyor, preference shall be given to those who are trained in the survey in Industrial Training Institutes.

3) Typist – SSLC / Matriculation and Government Technical Examination in Typewriting.

4) Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting: by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower / Junior Grade in English (or) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower / Junior Grade in Tamil.

5) Steno-Typist – SSLC and Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in Shorthand.

6) Knowledge of Tamil is necessary for considering the candidate.

Age Limit
The candidate’s age shall be between: 1) Village Administration Officer – 21 to 30* years 2) All Other Posts – 18 to 30* years

Age relaxation according to the state government norms is applicable.
No maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs / DCs, BCs, BCMs, and Destitute Widows of all castes who possess the Educational Qualification which is higher than the Minimum General Educational Qualification.
Every year Tamil Nadu PSC recruits hundreds of eligible candidates towards the Tamil Nadu state services. The TNPSC Group IV posts to include the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service, Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service and Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat Services. For all these posts any candidate with matriculation / SSLC or its equivalent is eligible for these posts. For all the posts except the Stenographer, salary is in the pay band of Rs. 19500 – Rs. 62000 and the pay band of the stenographer is Rs. 20,500 -Rs. 65000
